Loved all three episodes quite a bit.

The Scourge

I really enjoyed this, especially for the team interaction (movie night! Oh, the cute) and for the wonderful, cute Daniel bits (flirty!Daniel). All of the team had neat things going, though -- I loved seeing them carefully stepping away from enemies rather than running. Nice change of pace. I'm also vastly curious about what Daniel was saying in the beginning of the episode. And I have no bug squick, so never felt the need to look away from the screen.

Coup D'Etat

I watched this episode back when it was airing in Canada (yay for online downloading) and liked it quite a bit. It's better when it's higher quality (something I will probably think again when I see it on dvd). I really like Lorne (not just for the neat character he is on SGA, but also because he's another tiny connecting thread back to SG-1), and I was thrilled that he didn't die. Rodney's a high level of adorable in this episode as well, with the yellow glasses and military gesturing.

The Captain's Hand

It's like a 1969 reunion! This episode had two actors from the Stargate SG-1  episode 1969 -- young Hammond and Jenny (who also played Nassan on an early episode of Andromeda, a show that Michael Shanks guest-starred on (and met his wife on, who is now playing Dr. Lam)). The complicated nature of filming in Canada, one assumes.

I really enjoyed the episode (Lee in command, Lee and Dee being all nearly-naked together, Lee in general, really), but the preview for next week just blew me away. I'm... quite fond of the current Sharon, but I have been so much missing the original. The one from the miniseries who was in love with the Chief and so terrified of her blackouts and of being a Cyclon. Seeing her again was... really quite amazing.

Lorne is one of the best secondary characters on Atlantis and I was so glad he's alive and also, I noticed that the actor who plays Lorne is also the pilot of the craft that goes missing in the opening scenes of Galactica. hee.

butting in to say, yes, another person who noticed Kavan Smith was 'Buster' the raptor pilot on BSG tonight! I've been reading reviews and no one else has mentioned it. I checked his imdb page and he was in an earlier BSG ep too, but I don't remember seeing him. It was funny seeing Lorne on SGA and then seeing him again a few minutes later on BSG. He lived on one show, but died on the next.

I'm so incredibly amused that there were three Stargate actors on BSG. Oh, Canada! Home of the wacky mental crossovers.

I believe on Saturday, there was a movie about a haunted highway airiong on SciFi and Kavan had a cameo as a racer with an attitude. Hee, I was like, "hey, I bet Lorne raced cars in his teens before joining the Air Force." *g*

You know, I totally went, "I recognize that name" when 'Kevan Smith' popped up, but I didn't remember who it was. Aw, it's kinda sad that he's dead on BSG. But happy that he's alive on SGA where he has a name and more of a past.
