Dark Angel: Original Cindy is love.

butterflySo, my roomie picked up Dark Angel (partly because Jensen Ackles is in nineteen episodes (mostly in S2, as I understand?) and partly because she's seen an episode here and there before and liked it) and we just watched the first three episodes.
And dude! As I said in the subject line, Original Cindy is total and absolute love. I now desperately long for an Original Cindy icon. Also, Max is such an intensely sweet character. And I *heart* Logan. Lots and lots. And it has Agent David Sinclair (Alimi Ballad) from Numb3rs in it (*points at icon of David*)! With a cute accent! And, so far, we've had very good one-off characters.
So! Is there fandom out there for DA? If so, where can I find it?

Sadly, there is still tons of Lana hate out there, which means not as much good fic with her. And the hate was worse in S4.

Date: 2007-07-06 05:45 pm (UTC)Lana is not exactly a favourite of mine, but she's surprisingly enjoyable in early Season 4 when she's being all cute and couple-y with Jason. I like her with Chloe and Lois, when they're being normal girls and all girl power-y.
And when the writing strains credulity too far, I just remind myself that Lana is similar to S7 Willow in that I don't have to actually agree with her decisions. I just have to accept her as a very flawed and ultimately tragic figure in a larger-than-life supernatural soap opera.

Re: other comments on the fandom wars- the crazy died down a while ago, everyone retreated to their respective corners and it's been quiet ever since. The fandom's actually been kinda slowly dying out the past couple years. I mostly just squee over DA with
The Newbie Guide to Dark Angel is, I think, the best place to start exploring the fandom.
The first season is (I feel) way more solid storyline-wise, but the second season had Jensen Ackels, which automatically makes it my favorite. ;)
